It was nice to get some mtn bike miles in after 5 days of long road rides. 25 miles of shoreline. The steep sections are super tacky right now and I climbed the toughest section like I never have before. Saw the Holleys, Chris almost fell off his bike when I said his name. I'd bet a hundred bucks he didn't know who I was.
Point 2 Point's length of 75 miles doesn't worry me. what worries me is the climbing. I gotta shed some of this doughboy. 17,829 calories burned the last 6 days on the bike and I haven't dropped a pound. Thats the equivalent of 8 large Papa Johns spinach alfredo pizza's! Luckily I did a hydrostatic body composition test 3 weeks ago so I can see what's actually goin on. Regardless packing an extra 15 lbs of fat up 14,000 feet is the same as packing 15 lbs of muscle up it. Maybe I should take up fishing
